The Story Behind WHIPPED
How WHIPPED Started
WHIPPED started from a simple idea... I just wanted a fun side project that would keep me productive, creative and busy while making a little extra money.
I’ve always loved baking, but loaded cookies were my absolute favourite dessert. Every time I visited bigger cities like Adelaide, I’d get excited seeing all the different NYC-style cookie shops and creative flavours. Meanwhile in Mount Gambier, there wasn’t really anything like that around yet.
So at 16 years old, with no business experience and just a lot of motivation and dedication, I decided to create it myself. What started in my kitchen as a small idea quickly turned into something much bigger than I ever expected.
One of the biggest reasons I started WHIPPED was because I felt like Mount Gambier often misses out on trends that bigger cities get to experience first. I wanted people here to enjoy the same exciting desserts, creative flavours and bakery experiences that you’d normally only find in places like Melbourne or Adelaide.
That’s why I love creating unique flavours inspired by trends whether that’s Dubai chocolate, strawberry matcha, kinder bueno or cookie pies that you normally wouldn’t find in a Mount Gambier cafe.
I've built WHIPPED off quality, creativity and connection. I truly believe every product should be the best it can possibly be, and I always want customers to have a positive experience.. not just with the cookies, but with the whole brand.
I also believe baked goods are a love language. There’s something special about sharing sweets with people, and seeing others enjoy something I created is genuinely one of my favourite parts of the business.
What makes WHIPPED different is also the story behind it. It’s a business built by myself, from a small town, balancing school, work, sport and business all at once. Proving that a small idea can become something bigger than you expect.
The Future of WHIPPED
WHIPPED started as a small side business, but I have big goals for where I want to take it in the future. I want to continue growing the brand, creating exciting new products and giving people in Mount Gambier experiences and flavours that feel fresh, creative and exciting.
At the end of this year, I’m hoping to take a gap year and travel, so honestly it’s a little unknown what WHIPPED will look like next year. But for now, I’m focused on baking as much as I can, growing the business and making sure everyone gets the chance to try WHIPPED before whatever comes next 🤎
